Boram Kim is Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager of Pacific Gate Capital Management, LLC (PGC). He is a member of Board of Directors, PGC’s Operating and Investment Committees. Since PGC’s formation, Boram has been responsible for all aspects of the firm’s development and adherence to the firm’s vision and core investment philosophy.  Boram closely communicates with investors and strategic partners on the firm’s products and is responsible for firm’s strategies and overall investment direction.

Prior to founding PGC, Boram worked for Deutsche Bank’s U.S. Leveraged Finance Group in New York. He has underwritten numerous U.S. leveraged loan deals including leveraged buy-outs (LBO), refinancing and debt restructuring deals of major U.S. private and publicly-held companies.

Before joining Deutsche Bank, Boram was a core member of McKinsey & Company’s Asia Pacific Financial Institutions Practice, where he provided strategic advice directly to CEO and CFOs of leading Asian financial institutions including life-insurance, asset management and private banking companies.

Boram started his first career at Hana Bank, executing leveraged loans to Korean large corporates and conglomerates. In 2012, he was selected as “Pioneers of 2012” by Maeil Business Newspaper in Korea.
